"Gods" were subject to many things, but not all
Although the Egyptian "gods" were portrayed as much stronger and wiser than humans, numerous myths indicated that they could get sick and even die, and under certain circumstances they could even be killed. Even Diodorus Sicillian (I century BC) mentioned that it was the "gods" who ruled Egypt for a little less than 18,000 years (which is confirmed by other Egyptian lists - from about 26 to 8 millennium BC), and the last of the gods - the rulers were Horus, the son of Isis …
For some reason, the wise Thoth and 10 more "gods" who ruled until 7050 BC, from which the rule of the "demigods" begins, marked by great turmoil, decline and "War of the Gods", is taken out of the brackets. Perhaps they were already three-fourths "gods", but a quarter of people?.. But let's go back to older times, even before "Zep Tepi".
Diodorus of Siculus was a priest, and he knew that the special position of ancient Egypt after the Flood was somehow connected with its geographical position, with a large amount of solar heat falling on the southern regions, and with intense precipitation, which, according to myths, intensified after the Flood: "Because when moisture from heavy rains that fell in other lands met here with a strong heat that prevails in Egypt … the air became quite favorable for the first generation of all living …"
Ra ruled even before the Flood (11920-10920 BC) for a thousand years, and ancient myths say that while he was young and energetic, his reign was peaceful. But the years took their toll, and at the end of his reign he looked like an old, wrinkled, waddling man with a trembling mouth, from which saliva dripped all the time.
Shu inherited earthly power from Ra, but his reign was overshadowed by conspiracies and conflicts. Moreover, he had already come to power, being seriously "aged". Although he defeated his enemies, in the end he was so badly shattered by illness that even his closest followers rebelled against him: “Tired of rule, Shu abdicated in favor of his son Geb and took refuge in heaven after a terrible storm that lasted nine days …”It was during Shu's time that the Flood happened! What could also affect his health, it was difficult to restore everything anew to Earth, even for the "gods" …
Osiris was remembered primarily as a benefactor of mankind, an enlightener and a great civilizing leader. He was the first among the "gods" to prevent cannibalism, which had previously flourished among the people of that era. In addition, he introduced the Egyptians to agriculture - especially the cultivation of wheat and barley; he also taught them how to make agricultural implements.
Osiris is known as a great lover of "leavening", was an admirer and connoisseur of a wide variety of wines (for the purpose of "divine" health, but nonetheless). In general, he was kinder than other "gods", but, for example, he killed the king of Thrace - because he did not want to accept his divine power and system.
