Peng Xiuhua, a 101-year-old woman, lives in Shenshuitong Village, Lianjiang County, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. She has two daughters who are married and live away from her, they are already 70-year-old grandmothers. Mother Peng is looked after by neighbors, helping her around the house. About ten days ago, Peng fell and hurt herself, she was assigned to bed rest, and her daughters came to care for their mother.

Liu Meijuan also said that her mother lived very poorly and simply all her life, she always ate very modestly, but she is very friendly, she has a very good character, and there is hardly anything that can make her angry. With her husband, who was 11 years older than her, they hardly fought, especially in old age. 11 years ago, her husband, at the age of 101, fell seriously ill and died, she was left alone. Last year, a similar incident happened to a 95-year-old resident Li Xiufen from Beilu County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. On the eve of her "death" she fell, after which she suffered from headaches. The doctor prescribed bed rest. One morning a neighbor came to visit her and found her "dead." The residents organized a funeral, laid her in a coffin and covered her with a lid, and set the day of the funeral.
