China. Residents of the city of Chengdu, Sichuan province, witnessed an unusual phenomenon - the roadbed suddenly began to swell, after which narrow long cracks formed on it, from which clay mud began to flow out foaming. On the evening of the same day, the water in the local water supply turned yellow, not at all usable

It happened on June 17 at about 15:00 near the local market. A puddle of yellow mud slowly spread down the sidewalk. People thought that this was a harbinger of an impending disaster and began to hastily disperse.

There have been no reports of this in the local media, so many of the locals contacted by The Epoch Times are unaware of this.

“The authorities do not want the media to publish such news, so those who have not seen the events with their own eyes or heard from friends often do not know anything about them. When this happens, the authorities immediately cordon off the area around and put up a sign with the words “Road Repair” and do not let anyone in there,”said Chengdu resident Ms. Zeng.

There was also no explanation for this phenomenon from specialists. On one of the sites, a single explanation appeared from a working construction site located next to the resulting puddle. He said that this is a common occurrence as a result of construction work and that there will be no consequences.

Although many Internet users said they trust the common worker more than the “specialists” who are usually attracted by the government, the reasons he expressed did not fully convince them. Some even expressed the opinion that this is a new trick of the government, which knows that no one believes their “specialists”, so they used a “representative of the people”.

Many also remembered shots from the famous film "2012".

“Earthquakes, sinkholes in the ground, droughts, floods, downpours, our grapes will not disfigure anything this year, because there were no bees during its flowering, it is not clear where they went. Now still yellow water flows out of the ground. It looks more and more like a scene from the 2012 movie,”wrote one Chinese blogger.

Within a few hours, about two thousand people expressed their opinions on the Internet forum dedicated to this topic. Mostly they expressed distrust of the government and fear of an impending disaster.

Most of the messages have now disappeared. Most likely, they were removed by the site's moderator by order of local authorities, which is a common occurrence in China, thus the authorities maintain "stability" in society.

A few days ago, in the same province of Sichuan on the highway of the city of Chengdu, in one day, at least 80 pits with a diameter of about one meter and a depth of up to 30 cm were formed.
