Are folk signs about the weather correct? Yandex's verdict - you can't trust them.
The analysts of the company came to this conclusion after analyzing the weather data for the past 36 years, and correlating them with known weather signs.
In particular, such signs were considered, according to which the weather on a certain day was used to judge the weather for the future time period. At the same time, keeping in mind that such signs were formed during the time period according to the old style, analysts took this into account.
What indicators were taken into account in the analysis? We took into account the air temperature, degree of cloudiness, windiness, amount and nature of precipitation. The check was also carried out separately for each city.
The result is as follows - 188 signs were considered, but only 75 of them worked, and even then only in half of the cases. In "Yandex" even joked - you can turn the sign on the contrary, then the result will be close to the actual. However, 6 signs were identified that worked by about 70%.
So, the top will accept, which can be trusted:
June 27 (Samson) - if it rains on this day, then the next 7 weeks will also be rainy.
May 11 (Mokiy) - what it will be, this can be expected in summer (wet or dry)

However, it is curious that the accuracy of the signs depends on the region, and each has its own sign - a reliable predictor. The sign about Samson's day proved to be the best in St. Petersburg. And the omen about the weather at Sretenye turned out to be true for Rostov-on-Don, and did not work in Kazan.
An outsider sign is also named, which does not work anywhere and never - this is a prediction according to "Aksinya". No coincidences of the weather on this day with the actual weather for the next spring were found at all.
