In the southern tip of the American state of New Mexico, in the early 1980s, strange stones were discovered - granite pillars with crosses and other mysterious pentagrams carved on them. What is this, scientists asked then?
The artifacts were examined by several US universities at once, in order to decipher the incomprehensible signs on these pillars - either messages from the past, or warnings. However, all attempts to get closer to solving this mystery have not been crowned with success. Only the forestry service of the United States was able to put forward a more or less reasonable hypothesis that the stones were, they say, put by the first colonizers of America for orientation in an unfamiliar forest area. However, this version does not explain the main thing in any way: what kind of crosses and signs are inscribed on the pillars, what are they about? And therefore, the purpose of these pillars themselves is still unclear.
Some independent researchers have suggested that all of these signs resemble the symbols of the Knights Templar. However, all attempts, both official and private, to contact Freemason societies, all requests to comment on these mysterious symbols were unsuccessful - representatives of ancient orders and secret formations remained deaf to them. Researchers of these artifacts still have at least a tiny, but confidence that the pillars are somehow connected with the Knights Templar.
But this is all that scientists have achieved in almost forty years of researching mysterious stones. Today, no one is engaged in this matter, all research has practically ceased.
This find remained a mystery to science, like many other artifacts, for example, the "London hammer", "Ayud hatchet" and many others. All these mysterious findings are at best forgotten, at worst they simply disappear from our world, as inconvenient for academic science …
