A resident of Great Britain claims that an empty room in her house, for which she has to pay an additional tax, is occupied by a demon who previously beat her.
Lorna MacDonald, 46, from Liverpool, says the evil spirit left many bruises on her body. Also, according to the woman, the ghost regularly throws mirrors from the walls of her house. To get rid of the otherworldly inhabitant who settled in her house, the Englishwoman was forced to call a priest.
An additional inconvenience from the new tenant is the need to pay tax on the bedroom, which was occupied by the demon. Due to the additional tax, the woman ran into debt for housing and now cannot be relocated until the debt is paid off.
Lorna's 22-year-old daughter left the house, declaring that she could no longer stay in the bedroom because an evil demon had settled there. As a result, the woman was left to live alone in a house with three rooms and was forced to pay a tax on the bedrooms.
In an attempt to get the tax to be canceled, the woman stated that the supposedly empty bedroom in her house was unfit for habitation, because it was occupied by an evil spirit. However, officials did not accept these arguments, noting that government rules that govern bedroom occupancy do not apply to paranormal guests at home.

The Catholic Diocese confirmed that they have visited the woman's home and continue to support MacDonald by conducting religious services in her home and church.
