In the past few weeks, active discussion of the tragedy that occurred in 1959 in the Ural Mountains has been renewed. A group of experienced tourists, led by Igor Dyatlov, died. For a long 60 years, the most incredible versions of their death were put forward - from the attack of escaped prisoners and revenge of the indigenous people to UFOs. And the investigation has reached a dead end. And now the investigation was resumed, and the Prosecutor General's Office announced the version of what happened on the fatal night at the pass. Evgeny Chernousov, lawyer of the Dyatlov Memorial Fund, disagreed with the official conclusions.

When the telegram from the expedition did not arrive at the appointed date, the search began. On February 26, the bodies of the Dyatlovites were found. They had injuries. The people were undressed despite the bitter cold, which further confused the interrogators. The tent was cut from the inside. Hot on the heels, it was not possible to investigate the death, but the case was closed and sent to the archive with the note “Irresistible elemental force”.

In 2020, prosecutors conducted nine examinations at the scene of the tragedy with the participation of the Emergencies Ministry, specialists in the field of geodesy and metrology. According to their version, the tourists ran 50 meters to the stone ridge to hide from the avalanche, but they could not return to the tent due to poor visibility and died of frostbite.

Chernousov resolutely refutes such conclusions and is sure that the cause was a man-made disaster. He states that there were no signs of an avalanche at that time in the 59th year. But those who were investigating, according to the lawyer, already had reason to believe that something happened from above, there was some kind of aircraft that exploded, and the remnants of fuel caused severe poisoning and death of members of the Dyatlov group.

Chernousov believes that all nine people realized that they had already been poisoned, so they cut open the tent and ran out as quickly as possible to get away from the lesion.

Recall that the tragedy with the Dyatlov group occurred at the pass in 1959 and became one of the most mysterious in history. In February, another hypothesis appeared that people fled from hallucinations, succumbing to sudden panic upon awakening. On the eve of the Prosecutor General's Office published its version. The investigation was resumed 60 years later. It was announced that the Dyatlovites were fleeing from the avalanche, it was she who made them cut the tent and run almost naked. The interrogators also explain strange injuries, such as broken ribs, with the same. According to them, they are very typical for a person who has fallen under the snow mass.
