A document posted on The UFO Chronicles tells the story of two police patrolmen who roused the entire Lithuanian police force when they spotted a pulsating UFO near the state border in the early morning of June 25, 1996.
A police patrol, consisting of two police officers Jaunius Poera and Laimis Croujalis, noticed a pulsating spherical object hanging 20-30 meters above the ground in the area of the village of Nemezis, located 10 km from Vilnius, which alternately contracted and expanded in size. In addition, strange sounds were heard around the object, which both eyewitnesses described as “electric or electronic crackling”.
After the police signaled an emergency, trucks carrying Rapid Response Force fighters with search dogs, joined by police, immediately arrived at the UFO sighting site.
Wanting to take a closer look at the UFO, the police decided to approach him. As soon as they drove about 50 meters through the tall grass, the bright sphere began to move away from them, rose higher and at high speed withdrew in the direction of Vilnius.
The police officers who first noticed the object are described by their superiors as psychologically balanced people with no penchant for practical jokes.
