Jacob's Well is an unusual underwater cave with a diameter of 4 m, which opens out in one of the reservoirs of the city of Wimberley, Texas. The cave extends vertically into the depths of the rocks for several tens of meters, after which it branches into underwater corridors extending in unknown directions.

Despite its bright biblical name, Jacob's Well has already claimed the lives of 8 divers who tried to explore its depths. Scuba divers say that there are several grottoes under the water, following one after another. The grottoes are connected by very narrow passages where it is easy to get stuck, and in one of them the bottom is covered with layers of limestone and if they are stirred up, it will be almost impossible to find a way out of the underwater trap. So far, no one has been found who has fully explored the farthest corners of the underwater network of caves, since the depths clearly showed what happens to daring daredevils.

However, the tragic events were fleetingly forgotten, as the cave is used for entertainment and jumping into it from the coastal cliffs. Rumors say that if you jump into the Well just once, and then get dressed, leave and never visit this place again, then luck will favor a person. But the temptation to repeat the "step into the abyss" is too great and not everyone is given to pass this test.

The water "abyss" is rarely deserted. Most often, many fans of extreme pastime gather here. Sometimes Jacob's Well is visited by groups of tourists who want to see with their own eyes the main attraction of the Cypress Creek.
