Asteroid 2015 UM67, discovered by Russian scientists, threatens to destroy the Red Planet as it is huge and passes through the orbit of Mars, which increases the likelihood of a collision between the two comic bodies.

For comparison, the Chelyabinsk meteorite was only 20 meters in diameter. In addition, the atmosphere of Mars is rarefied, in which the asteroid will not even partially burn out. It is worth considering the fact that the Red Planet is ten times less than the Earth in mass, and therefore such a blow from space can end in a huge catastrophe.
Unfortunately, asteroid 2015 UM67 also passes through Earth's orbit. In any case, it poses a serious danger to us, and even if it collides not with ours, but with the Red Planet.
