Last week, when Sevastopol celebrated National Unity Day, either aliens wanted to get closer to people, or a festive Chinese lantern, shimmering in the atmosphere, made a citizen press the "Record" button on his gadget. A Sevastopol resident filmed a video of an unidentified flying object (UFO) and posted it on YouTube.
A small ball of light flew across the night sky and grew in size as it approached. Having no clear boundaries, the object shimmered in different colors, and then began to move away and disappeared.
ForPost found out if the specialized structures received calls from Sevastopol about UFOs that day.
“We do not have such data. And in general, everyone has their own perception, someone will take the plane for a UFO. Even if there were any signals, it would not be in the line of civil defense. We have very powerful air defense in Sevastopol. The custodians of such information are the Ministry of Defense, Igor Vasiliev, head of the civil protection measures department, commented to ForPost.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Sevastopol said: "Of course, they call us on absolutely different issues, often not related to the work of the Ministry of Emergencies, but such a call has not been received."
